Batad Rice Terraces

The rice terraces in the Cordillera Mountain Province is one of the Philippines UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Batad, a village a couple of hours away from the more commonly known Banaue Rice Terraces, has well preserved ampitheater-like terraces rising to the mountaintops.

    they have houses there????? have they always been there??? are the houses safe??? IMHO the houses kinda takes away from the overall vibe and beauty and majesty of the view. hey, lovely pic as usual.

    i never seen such perspective on rice terraces like this before. this is certainly different from what i commonly see from Banuae. I think the terraces’ steps here are lower but it also extends steeper to the top.
