Only a brave few dare visit this pristine beach of Malamawi Island in Basilan, Philppines. Since the abduction of the American Couple, Martin and Gracia Burnham last May 2001 by the Islamist Terrorist, Abbu Sayyaf Group in the region, the place has seen very few tourist.

Salagdoong Beach is one of the most frequented beach in Siquijor Island. With only a 10 pesos entrance on this government managed resort, one can enjoy the beaches’ crystal clear waters ad white sands along a scenic backdrop of limestones with olave tree outgrowths.

Found at the northern tip of Luzon, Ilocos Norte, the coastal town of Pagudpud is considered as the Haven of the North. Boasting golden sands and crystal-blue waters, visitors doesn’t hesitate to drive up to north for at least 2 hours from Laoag to visit this stretch of beach.

Pandan Island, on the west coast of Mindoro Occidental is a private island which is usually the jump off point to the popular diving destination, Apo Reef. Still, Pandan also has a charm of its own, with its excellent snorkeling, fine stretch of beach and some short hikes around the island.
